Kurt is a graduate of the University of Michigan where he earned a Bachelors of Business Administration. In 1990 he produced the feature film Hellmaster, starring John Saxon (Enter the Dragon / Nightmare of Elm Street) , which aired nationally on HBO/Cinemax in 1994 and 1995 and distributed by AIP on home video. His subsequent producing effort Dark Heaven was produced in 2002 and released in July of 2004 via ThinkFilm in Blockbuster stores nationally. Kurt is the co-founder of the Motion Picture Institute (MPI) located in Troy. MPI is the most established film trade school in the state of Michigan and was formed in 1995. He serves as the school’s Chief Financial Officer and as the Director of Education. Kurt’s extensive business background has built MPI into a premiere filmmaking program. Kurt recently completed producing the feature film “The Rain” starring Dee Wallace (E.T. the Extraterrestrial / Cujo / The Howling), Richard Lynch (Invasion USA, The Seven-ups), and the late David Carradine (Kung Fu, Kill Bill).

Kathryn has worked in feature film production for over the past 27 years in Los Angeles. From 1995 to 2005 she worked as Vice President of Production Administration at Columbia Pictures overseeing the productions of “CharliesAngels 1 & 2”, “Memoirs of a Geisha”, “Fun with Dick & Jane”, “Closer”, “Hitch”, & “Spiderman 1 & 2” just to name a few.

Upon completion of his graduate degree from Michigan State University, Marco S. Aluia, followed his passion for film and enrolled in the Motion Picture Institute of Michigan. He continues to be actively involved with graduates of the school assisting them in producing a variety of Michigan based independent films. Marco’s acclaimed short film "ORIGINS" was well received by seasoned professionals and industry leaders. He directed the only promotional documentary on Detroit electronic music, titled "MOVEMENT" followed by an in-depth documentary feature film titled, "313 TECHNO". These films explored for the first time the historical inner working of the creative development and production process of new African American music genre. Currently, Thoze Guyz Filmz LLC and Marco are networking to develop high quality and exciting independent feature film projects under Michigan's generous tax incentive. He continues to work with a variety of seasoned music talents an recently produced and directed the documentary of the only theatrical play of Frank Zappa's "JOE"S GARAGE" on behalf of The Zappa Family Trust archive.
